Missouri sells deer and turkey permits over the counter to anyone, resident or not. Buy at mdc.mo.gov, in the MO Hunting app, or from any vendor. The permit prints to your phone.
2026 nonresident prices. Firearms Any-Deer $360. Spring Turkey $304.50, one bearded bird. Fall Turkey $176.50. Youth ages 6 to 15 pay $9.75 for deer and $7.50 for fall turkey. Archery permits are priced separately on the MDC site.
Rule one: hunter education. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1967 needs a hunter education card to buy most permits. Out-of-state cards count. No card? Buy an Apprentice Hunter Authorization and hunt alongside a licensed adult.
Rule two: Telecheck. Notch your permit at the kill, then Telecheck by 10 p.m. the same day, before processing and before leaving the county. Barton County sat in the CWD Management Zone in 2025-26, so the leave-the-county rule applies. Keep the head and plumage attached until checked.
Buck limit. Nonresidents may take one antlered buck in Missouri in 2026. Antlerless permits for Barton County are over the counter.
Landowner permits do not cover you. Even though Tondo owns the ground, guests buy full-price permits. That is the law in both states.
